The Foot Warts
All about them
They are annoying and need removing ASAP!
The most common type of warts?
Definitely foot warts. I mean, there are literally millions and
millions of fellow humans who are affected by them. It would be hard
NOT to find someone who has at one point in their life had the
unpleasant honor of having foot warts. Why most people call them
“foot warts” the medical term is “plantar warts”. The warts
are caused by transmission of the HPV virus, a nasty very effective
virus. Thankfully there is no shortage of possible treatments that
you can try. From natural treatments to more medical solutions, you
will find a whole bunch in any decent drug store. Do, and this is
very important, make sure that you're dealing with a wart and not
something else!
So where do those millions of humans get their warts from? The usual suspect are public areas where people walk around bare-footed. Public pools are one of the favorite places of warts to spread themselves. It comes as no surprise, because transmission from the ground to your feet is easy as pie for the warts virus. Obviously walking around with something on your feet to stop this virus transmission is the way to go.
And yes, I am one of the millions who have met those foot warts. A few years ago they decided to make my big toe their new home. I wasn't amused, those unwelcome guests had to be evicted as soon as possible! In general foot warts aren't a danger to your health (that is, if you're an average healthy human being) - but they sure can hurt! While you walk your feet are constantly hitting the ground, which makes it a painful experience if you have warts on your feet/toes. And it doesn't help the healing either since with every hit it damages the skin surrounding the wart, making it heal slower.
The pain is mainly the annoying part of foot warts, and of course their ugly appearance. You gotta take action immediately if you see an ugly-headed wart appear on your feet. This will save you from weeks of painful walking, believe me! The fastest way is to go see your doctor and ask him/her to have the wart removed. The doctor will usually freeze the wart, and after some time it will fall off. This is no guarantee that you will be wart free for life, so make sure you keep your feet away from infection centers such as public pools.
